1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School

About the role

We are seeking a motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a named pupil at St Gregory’s CofE Primary School. This fixed‑term, full‑time position offers the chance to work closely with a child, the class teacher and the wider school team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to the designated pupil, helping them access the curriculum.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
• Support small groups and whole‑class activities when required.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate updates to staff.
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
