About the role
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a Year 4 pupil with complex special educational needs. This full‑time, term‑time position offers the chance to make a tangible difference in a supportive school environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support throughout the school day, adapting to the child’s sensory, communication and behavioural needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and external professionals to deliver personalised learning and care strategies.
- Assist the pupil with transitions, engagement in activities, and development of social and emotional skills.
- Offer personal care and physical support where required.
Required profile
- Experience working with children who have complex SEN (e.g., autism, medical needs, SEMH, PMLD).
- Calm, patient, and flexible approach.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Genuine passion for inclusive education.
- Relevant SEN qualifications or training are beneficial but not essential.
