1st Line IT Support Engineer (6‑8 weeks)

About the role

We are seeking a 1st Line IT Support Engineer to join a short‑term project (6‑8 weeks) focused on Windows workstation migrations for a client in Oxford. The role is fully remote and involves guiding end‑users through each migration step, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Provide phone‑based assistance to users during Windows workstation migrations.
• Troubleshoot authentication failures, VPN connectivity, Office activation, Teams sign‑in and Outlook profile issues.
• Resolve Group Policy delays and temporary profile problems.
• Perform desktop support tasks within a Windows enterprise environment.
• Assist with Active Directory administration and Microsoft 365 service support.
• Utilise PowerShell scripts for routine checks and remediation.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑focus with clear communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Immediate availability for the project duration.
