7.5 Tonne Driver – East Sussex

About the role

We are seeking experienced 7.5 tonne drivers to join our team in East Sussex, delivering goods across the South of England on an ongoing contract basis. The role involves safe, courteous delivery of client consignments while maintaining professional communication with dispatch and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the vehicle before each journey and record any defects.
• Pack, load, secure, and unload goods, ensuring safe handling of heavy items.
• Follow designated routes to deliver goods to customers, obtaining signatures or confirmations.
• Perform multi‑drop deliveries and accurately record each delivery.
• Communicate any road or location issues to route dispatchers promptly.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with client customers.

Required profile

• Valid 7.5 tonne licence with a digital tachograph and CPC card.
• Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points and no convictions for DD, DR, or INT endorsements.
• Own transport for commuting to the work base.

Required skills

• Ability to operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle safely.
• Proficiency with digital tachograph equipment.
• Experience handling and securing heavy loads.
