Account Handler

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Account Handler to join our growing independent brokerage in Bristol. You will manage a portfolio of commercial clients across specialist sectors, delivering renewals, cover reviews and day‑to‑day service while building long‑term relationships with both clients and insurers.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Handle policy renewals, mid‑term adjustments (MTA) and routine servicing enquiries.
• Conduct cover reviews and respond to client queries promptly.
• Liaise directly with insurers to secure optimal terms.
• Support new business enquiries independently or alongside the Account Executive team.
• Contribute to team initiatives and process improvements.

Required profile

• 2–5+ years’ experience in a commercial insurance role.
• Good knowledge of key insurance lines and client needs.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Confidence working directly with clients and insurers.
• Proactive learning mindset; CII certification is a plus but not mandatory.
