Account Manager – FMCG (US Retail & Manufacturing)

About the role

Our client, a global FMCG supplier, is seeking an Account Manager to manage and grow US retail and manufacturing accounts. Based in Ringwood, you will work Monday‑Friday in an office environment, coordinating international projects and ensuring top‑tier service.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key US retail and manufacturing customers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact, delivering outstanding customer service and day‑to‑day account management.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand existing accounts through new ranges, seasonal projects and product development.
• Lead customer projects from brief to delivery, coordinating timelines, requirements and internal teams.
• Oversee new product development, briefing the art team and managing design feedback.
• Manage project commercial aspects, including pricing, negotiations and margin protection.
• Liaise with logistics, warehouse, finance and marketing departments to meet deadlines and specifications.
• Coordinate with external suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support broader business development activities alongside the International Business Development Manager when required.

Required profile

• Commercially sharp with strong negotiation and margin‑management experience.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple complex projects end‑to‑end.
• Confident communicator comfortable engaging senior stakeholders.
• Passionate about product design and delivering high‑quality outcomes.
• Customer‑focused with a commitment to meeting specifications, timelines and standards.

Required skills
