Account Manager – Sports Marketing

About the role

WePlay, an award‑winning sports marketing agency, is looking for an Account Manager to join its London office. Reporting to the Head of Client Services, you will act as the main point of contact for our high‑profile sports clients, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and to the agreed scope.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, understanding their goals and challenges.
• Plan, execute, and optimise paid media campaigns across social, search, and programmatic channels.
• Provide regular status updates and reports in line with client requests and the statement of work.
• Organise and lead client and internal meetings to keep communication clear and projects on track.
• Collaborate with media, creative, strategy, and analytics teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage direct reports, holding team members accountable for their deliverables.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market insights.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of account management experience, preferably in a sports marketing or digital agency environment.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
• Proven capacity to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management tools.
• Experience using CRM platforms.
