Account Manager – Technical Sales for Water Treatment

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Account Manager to manage an established portfolio of industrial customers and generate new business for our UV and water‑treatment solutions. The role is home‑based with regular travel to customer sites across the UK and occasional visits to our Bedfordshire office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities while growing revenue within an existing portfolio of manufacturing and industrial customers.
• Build strong relationships with engineers, production managers, maintenance teams and procurement professionals.
• Recommend technical UV disinfection and water‑treatment solutions that improve efficiency and protect critical assets.
• Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry and quotation through negotiation, order placement and ongoing account development.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM, identifying future growth opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with internal technical specialists and supplier partners to deliver exceptional customer support.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling technical products or engineered solutions into manufacturing, industrial or process‑led environments.
• Ability to build credibility with engineers, production managers, maintenance teams and procurement professionals.
• Experience managing your own sales pipeline and forecasting activity through a CRM system.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities, negotiate effectively and convert enquiries into orders.
• Consultative approach to technical sales and a passion for long‑term customer relationships.
