Accountant – Finance & Accounting

About the role

ZenaTech, a Nasdaq‑listed technology company specializing in AI‑driven drone solutions, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Finance & Accounting team in London. Reporting to the CFO, the role will ensure accurate financial records across multiple platform companies and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly bookkeeping for multiple companies using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Maintain accurate customer and vendor records in the accounting system.
• Perform bank and credit‑card reconciliations, manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.
• Approve vendor invoices and process payments.
• Drive month‑end close activities, review financial reports for accuracy and tax readiness, and perform general ledger and intercompany reconciliations.
• Keep company records, SOPs, and internal notes up to date.
• Assist the CFO and finance team with operational and financial audit fieldwork.
• Act as liaison between acquired companies and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
• Contribute to other tasks within the Accounting and Finance team as needed.

Required profile

• ACCA designation (required).
• 7–10 years of experience in bookkeeping, finance, and accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with UK tax compliance, including corporate, payroll, and sales tax.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven attention to detail, high accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible and proactive attitude.
