Accountant / Senior Accountant – Lytham St Annes

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our growing practice in Lytham St Annes. You will manage a varied portfolio of SME clients, providing day‑to‑day accounting and tax support while working closely with business owners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Prepare and submit Corporation Tax returns
• Prepare Self Assessment tax returns
• Prepare and review VAT returns
• Support clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting queries
• Work with Xero and other cloud accounting software
• Liaise directly with clients, providing day‑to‑day support
• Assist with management accounts and ad‑hoc advisory work as required

Required profile

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns
• Good working knowledge of VAT
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Organised with strong attention to detail

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero cloud accounting software
