Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in a central London office supporting an international modelling agency. You will own the end‑to‑end finance function, handling both accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate reporting for VAT, year‑end and specialised withholding tax requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, run payments and manage weekly expense claims.
• Raise sales invoices, chase payments and maintain accounts receivable.
• Prepare weekly agency accounts and update bank movements.
• Liaise with models and mother agencies to resolve financial queries.
• Produce VAT returns, year‑end accounts and Foreign Entertainers Unit (FEU) withholding tax returns.
• Maintain suspense accounts, update bank reconciliations and support auditors during year‑end audits.

Required profile

• Experience with FEU withholding tax returns (essential).
• Background in a modelling, talent or entertainment agency, or an accountancy practice serving creative clients (essential).
• Ability to manage high‑volume transactions.

Required skills

• Sage Line 50 (desirable).
• Advanced Excel competency, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
