Accounting Expert – Local Accountant

About the role

As a local accountant you will ensure the accuracy of financial data, guarantee compliance with local accounting regulations, and support the overall success of AXA's financial operations. You will work within AXA Group Operations Finance, contributing to strategic planning, budgeting and internal control processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with local accounting standards and Group policies.
• Perform general accounting activities, analyses, and partnership controlling.
• Support effective internal controls and adhere to locally accepted accounting principles.
• Drive and monitor AXA Group Operations strategic plan, budgets and efficiency targets.
• Track and control actuals versus budget targets.
• Establish and maintain cost accounting, define cost‑recharging mechanisms, and monitor cash management.
• Prepare financial statements in line with regulatory and tax requirements.
• Coordinate and manage M&A projects, including divestitures and internal transactions.

Required profile

• Local accountant with solid knowledge of local accounting regulations and Group Standards.
• Experience in general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting and cash management.
• Ability to support and improve internal control processes.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
