Accounts and Audit Manager / Senior Manager

About the role

This newly created senior position sits within a respected independent chartered accountancy firm in Guildford. You will work directly with the Partners, managing a mixed portfolio of audit and accounts work while gaining exposure to complex technical matters and advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied client portfolio and act as the primary point of contact.
• Review and prepare statutory accounts and ensure compliance.
• Lead, plan, and deliver audit assignments from inception to completion.
• Provide advisory, business‑planning and technical accounting support to clients.
• Identify and develop opportunities for additional services.
• Review junior team members' work and deliver constructive feedback.
• Mentor trainees and qualified staff, supporting their professional development.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, ICAS, SAICA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Recent experience in a UK chartered accountancy firm.
• Strong audit background with experience managing audit engagements.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Experience reviewing work and developing junior colleagues.
