Accounts Assistant – Hybrid Finance Role

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Whittle‑le‑Woods. The role is hybrid, offering 1‑2 days a week in the office and the remainder remote, and focuses on day‑to‑day processing of financial transactions while supporting month‑end activities across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update all financial ledgers for multiple business entities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage multi‑entity cash positions.
• Allocate accruals and pre‑payments accurately each month.
• Process supplier payments and oversee credit facilities.
• Assist regional finance teams during quarterly and year‑end close.
• Undertake ad‑hoc finance projects as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a finance or accounting role handling daily transaction processing.
• High level of integrity, self‑motivation and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable supporting a small, dynamic team and adapting to varied tasks.
• Ability to work confidently from home while meeting deadlines.
