Accounts Assistant

About the role
We are partnering with a well‑established organisation in Tiverton to find a proactive Accounts Assistant. The role supports a busy finance team, handling day‑to‑day transactional work and contributing to month‑end processes.
Key responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices and arrange supplier payments.
- Assist with sales ledger maintenance and credit control activities.
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash allocations.
- Support month‑end closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate financial records and spreadsheets.
- Respond to finance‑related queries from internal stakeholders.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Available immediately or on short notice.
Required skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
