Accounts Associate Director – Agriculture/Farms

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Associate Director to join our Farms & Estates team, providing specialist accountancy services to agriculture and farming clients across the South West. Working closely with partners, you will manage a portfolio of rural clients, delivering high‑quality accounts, tax computations and strategic advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of farm and rural clients, overseeing annual accounts and business tax computations.
• Provide advice on remuneration planning, profit forecasts and capital tax matters.
• Review and advise on VAT returns and other tax filings.
• Identify tax planning and commercial opportunities for clients.
• Mentor and support junior team members, delegating workload effectively.
• Represent the firm at client and industry events.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Proven experience managing your own client portfolio and leading accounting teams.
• Experience or genuine interest in rural, agriculture or farming sectors.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Proficiency with Sage accounting software.
