Accounts Senior Manager

About the role

We are supporting a rapidly growing chartered accountancy firm in Wokingham that is looking for an Accounts Senior Manager. You will lead a diverse client portfolio and manage a team of accountants, delivering high‑quality financial services while enjoying autonomy and opportunities for progression.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, management accounts and bookkeeping records.
• Oversee VAT returns and corporate and personal tax return preparation and submission.
• Provide expert client advice, act as the primary point of contact for queries and support partners on ad‑hoc projects.
• Review work produced by junior staff and step in on complex assignments when required.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Previous experience as a Client Manager, Accounts Manager or Team Leader.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
