Accounts & Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join a fast‑growing accountancy practice in Edgware. This senior position offers the chance to work closely with partners, influence the firm’s strategic direction, and manage a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses and SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, delivering statutory accounts and corporation tax services.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies.
• Prepare and review corporation tax returns.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing commercial advice.
• Review the work of junior team members and support their technical development.
• Identify opportunities to improve client service and deliver additional advisory support.
• Collaborate with partners on client growth, service delivery and practice development.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Excellent technical knowledge of statutory accounts and corporation tax.
• Proven experience managing your own client portfolio.
• Confidence in reviewing work and mentoring junior accountants.
• Proactive, client‑focused communication style.
• Desire to build a long‑term career in a growing practice.
