Accounts & Tax Manager – Path to Director & Equity

About the role

Pro Talent is seeking an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to lead a diverse client portfolio in Brighton. The position blends compliance and advisory work and offers a genuine route to directorship and equity within a friendly, partner‑led firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a substantial and varied accounts and tax portfolio as the primary client contact.
• Deliver both compliance and advisory services, ensuring high‑quality client outcomes.
• Review work produced by junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Support the development and onboarding of junior staff.
• Shape service delivery processes rather than merely following them.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with practice experience on mixed portfolios.
• Current manager, assistant manager or senior manager level looking to progress.
• Ambition to move towards directorship and eventual equity ownership.
