Accounts & Tax Manager – Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts & Tax Manager / Senior Manager to join a well‑regarded accountancy practice in Godalming. The role blends client‑facing advisory work with team leadership, offering the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of statutory accounts and personal tax matters while influencing office operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients covering statutory accounts and personal tax.
• Provide advisory services on accounting and tax issues.
• Review and guide the work of senior accountants, ensuring technical quality.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as the primary point of contact.
• Identify and implement improvements to internal processes and team efficiency.
• Support the wider leadership team with office development initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Proven experience with both statutory accounts and personal tax.
• Experience reviewing work and providing technical guidance to junior staff.
