Accounts & Tax Senior

About the role

This senior position offers a balanced mix of tax, accounts and client advisory work within a respected chartered accountancy practice serving owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and high‑net‑worth individuals across the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns.
• Support tax advisory projects such as remuneration planning, business restructuring and shareholder planning.
• Liaise with HMRC on enquiries and technical matters.
• Identify tax planning opportunities for clients.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio.
• Deliver cloud accounting and bookkeeping solutions.
• Build strong client relationships and manage day‑to‑day queries.
• Assist with client deadlines, workflow and team development.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in both tax and accounts within an accountancy practice.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ambitious and motivated to progress into management.
