Accounts Technician / Senior – Liskeard

About the role

Join a well‑established accountancy practice in Liskeard as an Accounts Technician or Accounts Senior. You will work with a diverse client base ranging from sole traders to large corporates, supporting both traditional and cloud‑based accounting services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts, tax returns and VAT filings for a mixed portfolio of clients.
• Provide bookkeeping, bookkeeping and general practice services.
• Assist with cloud accounting implementation and advice, particularly using Xero.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on planning and advisory projects.
• Support the development of online services and contribute to the firm’s growth.

Required profile

• Recent experience in an accounting practice (small, medium or large) handling accounts, tax and related services.
• Background as an Accounts Assistant/Technician or Senior Accountant.
• Working towards or holding qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, ACA, ATT or CTA.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero or similar cloud accounting platforms.
• Experience in VAT preparation and filing.
• Tax return preparation.
• Bookkeeping and year‑end accounts compilation.
