Activity Coordinator (25 hrs/week)

About the role

The Activities Coordinator will plan and organise a variety of activities for residents at Gold Care Homes, supporting their social, intellectual and spiritual well‑being. The role is 25 hours per week with flexibility for additional hours to facilitate outings and special events.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daytime and evening activities, including group, individual and fundraising events.
• Coordinate the activities programme with other services within the facility.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of resident and business information.
• Assess resident needs, develop activity goals for care plans and encourage participation.
• Support the overall health, safety and well‑being of frail elderly residents.

Required profile

• Build friendly relationships with residents to help them adjust to life in the care home.
• Deliver high‑level personal and psychological care in a professional manner.
• Maintain good communication with managers, senior staff, chefs and relatives.
• Support team working and provide backup for staff as needed.
• Safeguard the individual rights of residents and staff in line with the home’s philosophy.
• Plan activities, assess needs and document outcomes.
• Observe health and safety requirements and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Undertake additional duties and training as requested.
