Actuarial Pensions Consultant

About the role

WTW is seeking a Pension Actuarial Consultant to join its UK Defined Benefit pensions team in Reigate. You will work on a variety of client assignments, ranging from trustee to corporate projects, and contribute to innovative, market‑leading initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver regular valuations, accounting, PPF levies, individual calculations and factor reviews.
• Support integrated risk management, liability management and GMP equalisation projects.
• Participate in plan design strategy, asset‑and‑liability modelling, journey planning and M&A activities.
• Mentor junior colleagues, delegate tasks and manage project delivery.
• Engage with clients on hybrid working arrangements, attending meetings and providing expert advice.

Required profile

• Experience as a pension actuary on core UK Defined Benefit pensions.
• IFoA qualified or newly qualified actuary.
• Strong client‑service orientation and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven delegation abilities and a desire to coach junior staff.
• High sense of accountability, self‑starter attitude and ability to view work in a broader context.
