About the role
We are looking for an Ada/SPARK Software Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation that develops high‑integrity, safety‑critical software for demanding applications across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical devices and life sciences. The role involves working on software that must be correct the first time, with a strong focus on quality, traceability and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in requirements gathering, design and development of Ada/SPARK code.
- Develop, integrate, verify and validate software components throughout the full lifecycle.
Required profile
- Commercial experience developing software using Ada and SPARK.
- Strong understanding of the safety‑critical software development lifecycle.
- Experience across requirements, development and/or test activities.
- Knowledge of safety standards such as IEC 61508, EN 50128, ISO 26262, DEF STAN 00‑55 or DO‑178.
- Methodical approach to problem‑solving and software quality.
- UK working rights and ability to obtain BPSS security clearance.
Required skills
- Ada programming language.
- SPARK language.
