About the role
We are currently seeking an Admissions Officer who will be responsible for recruitment and admissions activities across various university programmes delivered at our London campuses (Hackney and Canary Wharf) and partner institutions. This hybrid role is based primarily at home and at Newton Park, Bath, with occasional visits to London campuses as required.
Key responsibilities
- Manage applications across a portfolio of programmes and partner institutions, assessing qualifications and making evidence‑based admissions decisions.
- Process applications accurately and efficiently in line with university policies and procedures.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for applicants, prospective students, agents and partners, providing advice by email, telephone and at events such as Open Days.
- Collaborate with academic schools, partner institutions and professional services to achieve recruitment targets.
- Maintain accurate applicant and student records and contribute to the effective use of the SITS student record system.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the applicant journey.
- Support key activities throughout the student lifecycle, including Clearing, registration, examinations, assessments and graduation.
- Assist the Future Students and Admissions teams during peak periods.
Required profile
- Experience delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience working in a busy, demanding environment with competing priorities.
- Administrative experience, preferably in the education sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of SITS or other student records systems.
- Experience of admissions or registry procedures in a medium to large organisation.
- Experience working with a diverse range of people.
