Aerospace Engineering Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineering Project Manager to lead cutting‑edge aerospace and avionic projects in Rochester. You will provide technical direction, manage cross‑functional teams and ensure delivery of compliant products on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large and complex engineering projects through the full lifecycle, defining execution strategy and ensuring delivery on schedule, budget and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical direction, make key decisions and balance trade‑offs across performance, cost and risk.
• Collaborate with global customers, suppliers and internal teams to meet project objectives and deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement by introducing innovative engineering practices, solutions and technologies.
• Act as the primary engineering point of contact for stakeholders and mentor team members to foster a high‑performing environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering engineering projects for electronic real‑time systems.
• Background in avionics, aerospace or maritime engineering; Chartered Engineer status highly desirable.
• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Eligibility for SC security clearance and at least five years residence and work experience in the UK.
