Agency Social Worker – Adult Localities (Stoke‑on‑Trent)

About the role
This temporary agency position supports the Adult Social Care Localities service for Stoke‑on‑Trent City Council. You will work with adult service users to carry out assessments, reviews and planning, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and reviews for adult service users.
- Develop and update support plans.
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and respond to concerns.
- Make best‑interest decisions under the Mental Capacity Act (MCA).
Required profile
- Qualified Social Worker.
- Fully registered with Social Work England.
- Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience in adult social care.

What we offer
- Hourly rate of £31.97.
- Fixed‑term contract for an initial three‑month period.
- £250 joining bonus for new starters.
- £300 referral bonus if you recommend a successful candidate.
