AI Platform / DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI Platform / DevOps Engineer to join an award‑winning B2B consultancy that builds production‑grade conversational and generative AI products. The role focuses on designing, building and operating the cloud‑native platform that runs Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, LLM orchestration and vector‑search workloads on AWS and Databricks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable AI platform services using AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch) and Databricks.
• Deploy and manage containerised workloads on Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS, using Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Build and scale vector‑search infrastructure such as OpenSearch, Algolia and AWS Bedrock Knowledge Bases.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for inference services, retrievers, ingestion workflows and RAG components.
• Implement observability and monitoring with CloudWatch, MLflow and OpenTelemetry, covering latency, throughput, cost and health.
• Apply security‑by‑design principles including IAM, encryption, network controls and audit logging.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to turn prototypes into production‑ready, well‑architected platform components.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering production‑grade systems on AWS.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS in live environments.
• Extensive Terraform experience for large‑scale cloud provisioning.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, micro‑services and API design.
• Ownership mindset with the ability to operate autonomously across reliability, performance, cost and security.
