Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer – London

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join an established contractor serving the London and M25 area. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial cooling and heating systems for hotels, restaurants, bars, care homes and other commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide service, maintenance and breakdown support for commercial refrigeration and air‑conditioning equipment.
• Work on cold rooms, walk‑in fridges and freezers, ice machines, cellar cooling, bottle fridges, split, multi‑split and VRV/VRF systems.
• Cover the London and M25 region, responding to call‑outs and participating in overtime rotas.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Reside in or around the M25/London area.
• Proven experience with air‑conditioning systems and, preferably, refrigeration equipment.
• F‑Gas certification is mandatory; IPAF and PASMA certifications are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel door‑to‑door and work on a call‑out rota.

Required skills

• Air‑conditioning system installation and repair.
• Commercial refrigeration maintenance.
• Cold‑room, walk‑in fridge and freezer servicing.
• Split, multi‑split and VRV/VRF equipment handling.
• F‑Gas certification (required).
• IPAF and PASMA (beneficial).

• Salary £45,000‑£55,000 per year, dependent on experience.
