Alarm Receiving Centre Controller (Shift Work)

About the role

Join Banham's Alarm Receiving Centre team at the head office, providing 24/7 monitoring and support for customers across London and the Home Counties. You will work rotating weekly day and night shifts, handling alarm activations and delivering professional telephone service.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor alarm activations and respond to calls promptly and accurately.
• Liaise with emergency services, customers, internal departments and out‑of‑hours engineers.
• Enter and review data, produce daily reports and carry out routine system checks.
• Monitor high‑profile CCTV accounts, obtaining an SIA PSS CCTV licence within three months if not already held.
• Learn and support key‑holding duties as required.
• Communicate trends, issues and escalations to supervisors.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑service focused role.
• Excellent telephone manner, calm and professional under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to obtain an SIA PSS CCTV licence and learn key‑holding procedures.
• Commitment to follow company policies and procedures.
