Application Engineering Intern

About the role

Join Cadence as an Application Engineering Intern in Cambridge and work with industry‑leading IC design and verification tools on real‑world digital design challenges. You will collaborate with experienced application engineers and engage directly with customers, gaining practical exposure to semiconductor workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Support digital design activities using Cadence IC design and verification tools.
• Assist in analysing and resolving real‑life design challenges faced by customers.
• Collaborate with application engineers on customer‑facing technical topics.
• Participate in seminars, technical discussions, and project work within the business unit.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a relevant engineering or computer science degree program.
• Strong interest in semiconductor and digital IC design.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, customer‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with IC design tools.
• Understanding of digital design concepts.
• Basic knowledge of verification methodologies.
