Application Support Manager - BlackRock Aladdin

About the role

A financial services business is looking for a hands-on Application Support Manager to own a team supporting critical business applications. The role suits someone who enjoys leading people while staying close to the technology and solving complex issues. Experience supporting BlackRock Aladdin is a key priority.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day application support and take charge during major incidents
• Build a stronger, more proactive support function
• Develop the team and help shape future recruitment
• Lead P1 incidents, coordinate recovery and keep stakeholders informed
• Drive root-cause investigations and ensure permanent fixes
• Improve monitoring, automation and recovery processes
• Ensure new applications and changes are ready for live support
• Work closely with business users, engineering, InfoSec and external vendors

Required profile

• Strong practical experience supporting BlackRock Aladdin
• Background in application support or technology operations within regulated financial services
• Experience leading and developing a support team
• Confidence owning major incidents and service recovery
• Technical depth to challenge suppliers, investigate issues and guide the team

What we offer

• £110,000 base salary plus bonus
• Hybrid arrangement of 2-3 days a week in the London office
