Applications Engineer – Electron Microscopy

About the role

We are seeking an Applications Engineer with expertise in Electron Microscopy (STEM/TEM) to join a fast‑growing start‑up. You will be the primary technical contact for customers, helping them get the most out of our innovative software solution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for customers, including setup, troubleshooting, and day‑to‑day usage.
• Deliver demos, training sessions, and workshops to maximise user adoption.
• Collaborate with R&D and sales teams to translate feedback into product improvements and support pre‑sales activities.
• Test new software releases, update documentation, and stay current with advances in electron microscopy.
• Travel up to 30% of the time while working primarily from the Liverpool facility with hybrid flexibility.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of electron microscopy techniques (STEM, TEM or related imaging systems).
• Experience working with Python in image‑processing workflows used in electron microscopy.
• Background in materials science or life sciences applications of electron microscopy is desirable.
• Comfortable in a customer‑facing, sales‑oriented environment.
