Applied AI Security Architect

About the role

Anthropic is looking for an Applied AI Security Architect to act as the trusted security advisor for its most demanding enterprise customers across EMEA. This senior pre‑sales position focuses on security, compliance, networking and data architecture for the deployment of Claude models in highly regulated environments.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary security and compliance expert in customer engagements, addressing technical questions about Claude’s architecture, data flows, encryption, access controls and deployment models.
• Partner with CISOs, security architects, compliance teams and DPOs to design solutions that meet GDPR, EU AI Act, DORA, NIS2, SOC 2, PCI‑DSS and national regulator expectations.
• Lead deep‑dives on network architecture, EU data residency, zero‑data‑retention policies, cross‑border transfers, API security, authentication/authorization and audit logging.
• Support enterprise security reviews, vendor assessments and due‑diligence with detailed technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Sales, Applied AI, product and engineering teams to translate customer feedback into roadmap influence.
• Develop security‑focused collateral, reference architectures and best‑practice guides for regulated industries.
• Travel across EMEA to conduct workshops, architecture reviews and strategic account meetings.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise security, cloud architecture or technical pre‑sales within regulated EMEA industries (financial services, insurance, healthcare).
• Deep knowledge of GDPR, EU AI Act and European compliance frameworks such as DORA, NIS2, SOC 2 and PCI‑DSS.
• Proven track record of leading high‑stakes engagements with CISOs and compliance officers at large European enterprises.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
