Apprentice Funeral Director – Level 3 Apprenticeship

About the role
We are seeking a compassionate individual to join our team as an Apprentice Funeral Director. This Level 3 apprenticeship provides full training and hands‑on experience, allowing you to support families through bereavement while learning the full spectrum of funeral operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist families from the first meeting through the funeral day, offering clear, empathetic guidance.
- Support the planning and delivery of funeral services, including after‑care, ashes handling, and memorialisation.
- Run pre‑funeral briefings and help coordinate resources, diaries, and records.
- Participate in coffin preparation, handling of the deceased, and chapel duties as required.
- Engage with local community groups, care homes, celebrants, and religious organisations to promote the brand.
Required profile
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational abilities.
- Calm under pressure with a respectful, compassionate approach.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks.
