Area Manager – Hospitality & Retail (Scotland)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading restaurant group in Scotland to find an Area Manager who will oversee multiple restaurant and retail sites across the region. The role combines operational leadership with people development, offering a clear path towards a Regional Manager position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop store/restaurant managers to achieve performance targets.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure health & safety compliance, customer satisfaction and productivity.
• Analyse regional performance data and implement strategies to improve sales, cost control and people metrics.
• Identify training needs, support succession planning and ensure compliance with company policies, including HR matters.
• Maintain commercial standards, drive profitability and uphold brand standards across all locations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Area, Cluster or Regional Manager in a customer‑focused environment (hospitality, restaurants, QSR or retail).
• Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering profitable results.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Scotland.
• Ability to lead high‑performing teams and manage multiple sites simultaneously.
