Area Sales Manager – North East & Scotland

About the role

The Interior Solutions division of a multibillion‑pound plastics manufacturer is seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover the North East of England and Scotland. You will split your time between generating new business and managing an existing customer portfolio, promoting premium decorative melamine boards and related products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and develop new business opportunities (≈60% of time).
• Maintain and grow relationships with an established customer base (≈40% of time).
• Promote a comprehensive product portfolio including edgeband, acrylic surfaces and tambour storage systems.
• Interpret customer needs and present technical benefits of premium products.
• Utilise CRM systems to capture customer and competitor insights.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market trends and sector developments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the interior furniture components industry.
• Strong knowledge of decorative boards and distribution channels.
• Experience selling premium products to SMEs and an existing industry network.
• Self‑motivated, highly organised and results‑focused.
• Comfortable working independently in a field‑based role.
