Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst – Glasgow

About the role

Penguin Recruitment is partnering with a UKAS‑accredited asbestos consultancy to hire an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst for Glasgow and surrounding areas. The role offers a balanced mix of surveying and analytical duties across commercial, domestic and public sector sites, providing a stable workload and clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Perform air monitoring, including 4‑stage clearances and re‑occupation certification per HSG248.
• Collect bulk asbestos samples and follow company procedures.
• Prepare accurate, compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Manage multiple client sites and liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Maintain high health & safety standards and ensure compliance with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.

Required profile

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential).
• Proven experience as a dual Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of HSG264, HSG248 and current asbestos legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Professional, organised and reliable work approach.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
