Aspiring Child Counsellor / SEN Learning Support Assistant (Epsom)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Aspiring Child Counsellor/SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist provision within a mainstream secondary school in Epsom. This position offers hands‑on experience supporting pupils with moderate learning difficulties, emotional regulation needs and behavioural challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Assist with emotional regulation, wellbeing and personalised curriculum delivery.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, SEN professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
• Build trusting relationships and create a safe, supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Passion for supporting children with SEN or SEMH needs.
• Recent or upcoming graduate in Psychology, Criminology or Sociology, or experience in education, care or youth work.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to commute to Epsom.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
