Assembly Operative – Precision Engineering Production

About the role

We are seeking an Assembly Operative to join a well‑established engineering manufacturer in Poole, Dorset. The role involves working on a busy production line to assemble high‑quality precision engineered products for a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble components and sub‑assemblies following detailed work instructions.
• Perform coil winding and basic mechanical assembly tasks.
• Finish products for inspection, testing and packing.
• Pick kits of components and materials required for production runs.
• Clean components and completed assemblies to maintain a tidy work area.
• Carry out basic product testing according to defined procedures.
• Assist with soldering duties when required.
• Record production data accurately and support safe working practices.

Required profile

• Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly is preferred but not essential.
• Good manual dexterity and strong hand‑eye coordination.
• Ability to follow written instructions accurately.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Reliable, flexible and positive attitude.
