Assistant Accountant – Graduates Considered

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a well‑established finance team in the heart of Epsom. The position offers a diverse range of responsibilities across multiple reporting areas and provides a solid platform for professional growth, especially for recent graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily bank reconciliations and manage online bank access.
• Assist in the preparation of the weekly short‑term cash‑flow forecast.
• Support the production of management accounts for the Group Holding Companies.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the wider Group Finance team on departmental deliverables.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance department at an accounts assistant level (AAT).
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident interacting with all business levels.
• Well‑organised, flexible and able to meet changing deadlines.
• Strong sense of ownership and pride in work.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the wider team.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF and data linking.
