Assistant Branch Manager

About the role

Travis Perkins, the UK's largest distributor of building materials with over 1,400 branches, is recruiting an Assistant Branch Manager in Wolverhampton. The post is permanent and full time, with 44.5 hours per week and alternate Saturday mornings. You will support the day-to-day running of the branch, lead your colleagues and help drive sales and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day of branch life and lead colleagues to achieve excellence.
• Maintain a strong sales presence, driving daily sales activity and achieving targets to boost branch profitability.
• Drive standards across the branch and build strong customer relationships.
• Motivate and coach colleagues to reach their potential.
• Keep branch operations smooth and efficient, including the fleet of vehicles, the tool hire department and the Benchmarx showroom.

Required profile

• Relevant experience and the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Strong people skills, organisation and attention to detail.
• A commitment to a safety culture and the wellbeing of team and customers.
• Dedication to exceptional customer service and high standards.
• An energetic team player focused on hitting goals.
• Relevant industry experience helps, but a confident sales leader from another customer-centric industry is also welcome.
