Assistant Manager

About the role
As an Assistant Manager at JD Sports you will work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, develop talent and deliver a premium customer experience. You will be a visible leader on the shop floor, motivating colleagues and ensuring the store meets its performance targets.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager with daily store operations and KPI achievement.
- Lead and guide shop‑floor colleagues, allocating tasks and maintaining JD standards.
- Motivate the team to deliver excellent service and achieve sales targets.
- Assist with visual merchandising, stock control and opening/closing procedures.
- Help develop talent through coaching and performance feedback.

- Confident leadership style with the ability to inspire a team.
- Strong commercial awareness and focus on results.
- Customer‑focused mindset and commitment to high standards.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, retail environment.
