Assistant Manager

About the role
JD Sports is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering the premium JD standard. You will help drive sales, develop talent and ensure an outstanding customer experience in a fast‑paced, world‑class retail environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to achieve sales targets and core KPIs.
- Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocating tasks and maintaining JD standards.
- Motivate the team to deliver excellent service and meet performance objectives.
- Assist with stock management, visual merchandising and loss prevention activities.
- Contribute to staff training, coaching and performance reviews.
- Help ensure health, safety and compliance procedures are followed.
Required profile
- Confident leadership with the ability to inspire and develop a retail team.
- Strong commercial awareness and focus on achieving sales targets.
- Customer‑focused mindset with a passion for sports fashion.
- Ability to work in a high‑energy, fast‑moving store environment.
