Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to lead our Portsmouth store while supporting our neighbouring locations in Fareham and Chichester. You will be the face of exceptional customer service, helping the business grow during an exciting expansion phase.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and raise customer service standards across all stores.
• Ensure company and brand guidelines, including health and safety, are consistently applied.
• Drive store and company KPIs, monitoring performance daily.
• Support the day‑to‑day operations of the Portsmouth store.
• Provide on‑site assistance to the Fareham and Chichester stores as required.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about delivering great service.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, sales, leisure or another service‑focused environment.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to drive productivity during quieter periods.
• Comfortable travelling between Portsmouth, Fareham and Chichester.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Required skills

What we offer

• £27,600 base salary plus a bonus potential of around £1,000 per year.
• Mileage reimbursement at 55p per mile and lunch expense claims for trips over six hours.
• 39.5‑hour work week, Monday‑Friday, evenings off and reduced weekend hours (one weekend in four).
