Assistant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager to lead the pub, support the team and drive the business forward. You will help create a welcoming experience that keeps customers returning.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with day‑to‑day operations and lead the business in their absence.
• Lead, motivate and develop the team, ensuring a positive environment.
• Deliver great customer experiences and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take ownership of shifts, make decisions and keep operations running smoothly during busy periods.
• Drive sales and maximise opportunities across food, drinks, entertainment and live sport.
• Maintain high standards of service, food quality, cleanliness, safety and compliance.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or similar hospitality leadership role.
• Experience working in a busy pub, restaurant or bar environment.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Commercial mindset with interest in driving sales.
• Personal Licence or ability to obtain one.
