Assistant Manager - Masons Arms, Mayfair

About the role

The Masons Arms, a historic pub in Mayfair originally built in 1721, is looking for an Assistant Manager. Working closely with the General Manager, you will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the pub and take the lead when they are not around. The post is full time, permanent and paid £35,000 to £39,000 plus bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team through busy shifts
• Deliver outstanding service and create memorable customer experiences
• Support the General Manager with the smooth running of the business
• Take ownership of standards across service, food, drinks and the customer journey
• Coach and develop your team
• Keep the pub safe, welcoming and running smoothly
• Support events, private functions and the day-to-day of a busy central London pub

Required profile

• Experience in a busy hospitality environment
• Ready to take the next step in a management career
• Strong people and communication skills
• Able to stay calm and make good decisions when things get busy
• Pride in standards and attention to detail
• Enjoys developing their team and is ambitious about career progression
