Assistant Manager – Retail

About the role

JD Sports is looking for an Assistant Manager to support store performance and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive sales, uphold JD standards and develop a motivated team in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to achieve sales targets and core KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocating tasks and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Maintain JD standards throughout each shift, including visual merchandising, stock presentation and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Motivate the team, drive performance and inspire colleagues to exceed expectations.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance reviews as required.
