Assistant Manager - The Summit Birmingham

About the role

Abercrombie & Fitch is hiring an Assistant Manager for The Summit store in Birmingham. The role combines business strategy, operations, creativity and people management: driving sales through analysis and customer service, overseeing daily store operations, and leading the team from recruitment and training to engagement and development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing routines
• Supervise the sales floor and stockroom, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations
• Handle staffing and scheduling, and manage payroll
• Train and develop non-management staff
• Demonstrate product knowledge and brand awareness while driving sales
• Build and maintain visual displays
• Analyse reporting to inform decisions
• Protect store assets and carry out inventory control
• Operate register and point-of-sale systems and fulfil omni-channel orders
• Represent the brand and embody company culture and values

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or one year of supervisory experience in a customer-facing role
• Strong customer focus and knowledge of current fashion trends
• Strong work ethic and drive to achieve results
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to coach others
• Ability to balance multiple tasks, stay detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment
